Jolvvik does not advertise, promote, or chase sales or readers. She writes for the joy and art of writing. She deliberately chose not to pursue traditional publishing to preserve her creative freedom as she believes her books are not products. She self publishes so the books simply exist. Her characters are mostly female and usually morally gray. She is a Cinematic novelist and usually writes character driven fiction of different genres. She is a movie lover. She can’t make movies of her own so books are the next best thing and her books play out like films.

Jolvvik’s writing process: outlining of a general story idea with beginning, middle and end. Rewrite the outline until satisfied with the general story. Create a detailed outline containing chapter summaries. Rewrite until satisfied. Write a single draft straight through. Tweak and edit as needed. Edit for grammar and punctuation. Read a loud. Self publish. Move onto a new book. She does not consult beta readers, she does not hire editors and of course, does not advertise or promote.
